onwards to otherwise knitting related things. i spend far too much time on ravelry, but i’m still completely fascinated about the mere fact of it. just imagine: right now there are over 178 000 users signed up to ravelry. onehundredandseventyeight THOUSAND! knitters! and people are still signing up! mind blowing. anyway, there’s a lot of great poeple on ravelry and some of them came up with this great idea: a ravelry book club. talk about books with other knitters. and not about knitting books, but fiction. it’s great, we all read a book simultaneously and then discuss the book online. this summer we had the first annual book club swap. we were teamed up with another swapper, answered a simple questionnaire about our reading and knitting preferences and then swapped books and knitting goodies with each other. i recieved this lovely prezzie from marji in missouri, usa:
isn’t it great? lovely blue and brown louet yarn, cheese crackers, knitting magazine. and a book of course! looking forward to reading it, thanks for the wonderful goodies, marji!
i’ll be back soon!
